The problem with juries, all juries, is your fate is in the hands of 12 people who were too stupid to get out of jury duty in the first place.....................

Exactly. Or too dishonest to admit their bias.
The way I’ve always gotten out of jury duty was a) tell them I’m a CPA, I can think for myself, and that I believe people who break the law should be punished.
They don’t like any of that. Saying that, I never mage it past square one.
Questions for prospective jurors for any case - Are you a disinterested party? Are you a family member? Work relationship?
If the answers are no, congratulations, get in the jury box. The prosecution and the defense have promised me that they can present their cases in a week each. With cross examinations and closings, we’ll have you out of here in a month.
