Have extra trucks circling the beltway twice on Sunday will be noticeable but not that hard on traffic. Doing so on Monday will be a different story. In this era of “work from home“ the impact on DC workers will not be quite as great as it would’ve been pre-Covid.
The Truckers Convoy is very wise not to go into DC proper.
“They will NOT BE STOPPING or impeding traffic. They will NOT be going into DC. The convoy will repeat this slow roll encircling of DC every day until their demands - an end to national COVID emergency.”
Then I am afraid it will do absolutely no good.

Was on 270 and 495 this morning.
In Virginia cops were everywhere. None in Maryland.
I don’t know if these truckers have considered the very real possibility that as soon as they reach DC, the police will grab them out of their trucks and throw them in jail indefinitely without trial, and their trucks will be confiscated. And the Lamestream media will label this as another “insurrection” and these truckers will be left to rot in jail, with nobody giving a rat’s a$$ about their plight except for Margerie Taylor-Green.

I do not know how many miles I-495 is, but if the convoy is 60 miles long it should nearly encircle DC.
The 495 loop is roughly a 60 mile stretch of road and it’s on average about 10 miles from the beltway to the hill in DC.
