Joining NATO requires the unanimous consent of all current NATO countries.

Hungary has shown many times that it will not be a lapdog of the European elite. So I wouldn’t be surprised if Hungary blocked Ukraine’s membership.

Who knows? Maybe that’s what Stoltenberg is counting on. He gets to talk big while knowing that Hungary will keep Ukraine out of NATO.

I thought that it was not legal for a country at war to join ?

Don't be surprised if Hungary voted to allow them to enter. They are not afraid to go against WEF.

Remember, Ukraine is a protection buffer for Ukraine. That's a geopolitical reality.

Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Moldova have the most of anyone to gain if Ukraine joins NATO. Poland and Moldova most of all.

Maybe more than that. I don’t think any government wants war with Russia.
