Saturday Night Live alum Rob Schneider is refusing to apologize after recent reports claimed that his stand-up routine was cut short at a holiday gala in 2023 after Republican lawmakers found it “off-color and off-putting.”
“I’m not changing my material or apologizing for my jokes to anybody. Enough with this woke bulls‑‑‑. America’s sick of it,” Schneider told TMZ.
Politico reports that Schneider was meant to perform a half-hour comedy set at the gala until Senate Working Group executive director James Kimmey cut off his set within just ten minutes. Sources who were present at the gala or were familiar with the event claim that Schneider’s “raunchy” routine took aim at Asian people and made a joke about “Korean whore-houses.” The comedian allegedly agreed to keep his set clean, but it seems that the routine was anything but.

I was all set to blast Schneider as a complainer yet he voted for these woke policies. Then I read this....

yeah it is going to be hard for me to like him, when i didn’t like his comedy in the first place. i mean the ‘orgasm guy’ and ‘the richmeister’ just sucks, while his movies the animal series was pretty crude with questionable characters in it.
gosh i feel so old. monty pythons stuff can still get a laugh out of me.
He’s part Asian. If he wants to make fun of his own race, that’s his prerogative.
Rob seems like a good guy, and is on the right side of many political issues. If the venue asks you to keep it clean, that’s what you do. Or turn down the job. On the other hand, if you want a G-rated stand-up act, maybe Rob isn’t your guy. Kind of like hiring an exotic dancer, then telling her she’s performing at a nun convention, so “keep it clean”.

You need to read closer. He endorsed him for the Democratic nomination. That doesn’t mean he supports him in the general election.

I worked with a Filipino and loved the lumpia and Pork Adobo she would bring to pot lucks. Never tried dog.
He’s been moving in the right direction for a little while at this point.
I never thought that he was funny at all.
