NATO considers mission to train Ukraine’s troops in the country — report
The New Voice of Ukraine ^ | May 16, 2024 | Eric Malinowski

“NATO allies are inching closer to sending troops into Ukraine to train Ukrainian forces, a move that would be another blurring of a previous red line and could draw the United States and Europe more directly into the war,” the newspaper wrote.

Journalists add that Ukraine lacks the resources to train its troops, and the situation on the battlefield has worsened due to the Russian offensives. Consequently, Ukrainian officials have asked their U.S. and NATO counterparts for help in training 150,000 soldiers closer to the front lines for quicker deployment.

The United States refused to send even military advisers to Ukraine urges its NATO allies to follow suit. At the same time, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Charles Brown thinks the decision to deploy military trainers is ultimately “inevitable.”

“We’ll get there eventually, over time,” the report quotes Brown.

The article notes that moving training to Ukrainian territory, as military officials acknowledge, would allow U.S. instructors to gather real-time information about innovations happening battlefield, potentially improving their training programs.

There are already foreign troops there in various capacities. The US allows active military members to 'resign', go to Ukraine and 'serve', return to the US and re-enter the military. There are 'work-arounds'. One in particular was a female military medic who left the mil, went to Ukraine and was interviewed while stocking an ambulance with med supplies, and later reported killed.

Behind a paywall but:

As Russia Advances, NATO Considers Sending Trainers Into Ukraine

The move could draw the United States and Europe more directly into the war. The Biden administration continues to say there will be no American troops on the ground.

Issue them a sippy cup and a bag lunch with an orange and a bologna sandwich, then shove them into battle.

Ukraine should have taken a que from Poland and had well trained military before this war started and perhaps it wouldn’t have started.

Ukraine was ruled by a Russian puppet before the Euromaidan. Then finally, they started to get their act together but they still had to deal with corruption.

Both Poland and South Korea have large standing armies to deter their hostile neighbors.

I guess the Ukraine could arrest more people to fill the prisons, and then recruit from the prisons - it might make them more willing compared with forcibly dragging men (15-70 years old) off the streets and sending them to fight. The men/boys would have to choose whether to live in prison or die in a field. Maybe offer prisoners widows benefits or money to their families? So prison, with no money going to your family, or conscription - which means death but your family is helped. But then they'd suspect the money would never be paid.

That's how we got sucked into Vietnam, by first sending "advisors."

The ignorant ass is itching to get Americans killed by imbedding them with Nazi forces. Utterly shameful.
But he won’t lift a finger to help America. When BLM was burning down the country, he released a video with an assaholic race lecture. And hasn’t lifted a finger or said a word about the border invasion.

“”””That’s how we got sucked into Vietnam, by first sending “advisors.””””

How do you figure that? Truman, Eisenhower, Eisenhower again, JFK, we had advisors there since 1950 yet it wasn’t a problem, in 1963 JFK sent 16,000 troops, that was what got us into the war.

President Trump had troops in Ukraine conducting exercises with them and Biden kept that up, but they should have been more prepared.

President Trump moved American troops to Poland and made Poland a permanent American home for American fighting men.

Europe was pretty complacent before this full fledged invasion and major European war woke them up.

With what remains of the Ukranian army, we’ll need to send them a massive supply of acne medicine and diapers.
