ARCATA, Calif. — Cal Poly Humboldt announced on Friday that its campus will remain closed through the rest of the semester due to the ongoing protests and occupation of Siemens Hall and Nelson Hall East.

The semester was set to end on May 10.

The university said remote instruction and work will continue until that time.

On Monday, several dozen demonstrators took over Siemens Hall, one of the main buildings on campus. Another group of protesters was outside the building.

University officials said the ongoing occupation of the two buildings has caused an "ongoing inability to open other campus facilities." They said vandalism and theft have continued across campus.

The university made an offer to protesters who were barricaded inside campus buildings, giving them the chance to leave the buildings with no arrest by 5 p.m. Friday.

Closed for Covid. Closed for protests.

It's beginning to look as if schools, and all institutions, are looking for excuses to be paid for not coming to work.

Copouts by miserable cowards in academia. They end the semester , send everyone home and avoid having to show integrity and courage as they face the dilemma of choices.

Fight the lawbreakers. Otherwise why have your system of laws? (( I didn’t say “our”))

When the administrators give in and signal the protesters by yelling “I surrender” and waving a white flag is it really a pair of their lace panties (for the males) or a flag?

The university said remote instruction and work will continue until that time.

Not acceptable. That's not a real education. Refund my money for the whole semester!

Instead of punishing dedicated students, they should have trespassed, had arrested all protesters. Any that are students at the state schools should be kicked out, no even suspended.

The University of Florida has solved the violent protest problem.

The other 49 states need to follow.

Basically, the adults are going to be in charge and young gentlemen and ladies are going to have to behave themselves.

Or else.

Yes, some are going to challenge the rules; the worst ones will have to be separated from those that are doing right.

Why do these terrorists and terrorist sympathizers even bother to have these protests at the colleges, where the administration and faculty mostly agree with them anyway, but have no power to effect any change in government policy, domestically, much less in Israel?

Why don’t these stupid malcontents go and protest where their fury could actually get to the people who make the decisions?

Why don’t they go to D.C. and protest at the White House and the Capitol and the Pentagon? Why don’t they go and protest at the homes of Senators and Representatives?

Why don’t they go and protest at the factories of the Military Industrial Complex, and protest at the homes of the M.I.C. CEOs?

And if they really believe in their ‘Cause’, why don’t they head to ‘Palestine’ enlist in Hamas, and pick up a rifle or strap on a bomb to actually fight ‘the evil Joos’?

Who would have ever thought that a mere two generations after The Boomers spread “Give Peace a Chance” rallies throughout the entire western world, the NEW generational rallying cry would be: “Zionists (i.e. Jews) Go Back To Poland! (i.e. Auschwitz)”?

Both funny and sad that the most progressive state in the union are Jew Haters. Tells us a lot about “how California goes, so does the country.”

From pictures on the website I must assume it is a women’s college for those who couldn’t make it at Cal Poly SLO or CalTech.

“Cal Poly Humboldt campus closed through end of semester amid protests”

well, it’s a start ... if the “protesters” have staying power, then maybe they can shut it down permanently ...

then maybe they could move on to bigger fish and try to permanently shutdown some bigger Marxist factory ...

it’d suit me if the protesters manage to shutdown ALL the Marxist factories permanently! at this point, almost all universities are engaged in little more than permanently poisoning the minds of our youth ...
